Okajima gives up homer makes Lester’s outing forgettable

August 29, 2008

One pitch by Hideki Okajima caused a great outing by John Lester to be forgettable. Just one pitch. It is so hard to win as a pitcher these days because it takes about three other pitchers to help. The margin of error is very high.

Okajima and Papelbon both let The Nation down.

Is Okajima losing his unique pitching technique? Have  batters figured out his magic trick?
