Kang Min -Ho in better times

Just in Korean catcher Kang Min-Ho almost caused a nation to bring back the stoning law from feudal times.  He started arguing with the umpire in the bottom of the ninth inning. Cuba was threatening with two men on and then he just lost it. He  threw his glove , threw his catchers mask, threw the ball. He almost threw his own interpreter.

That could have been  one of the  top ten  meltdowns in sports history. Right up there with Jean van de Velde at the British Open and Bill Bukner with the Red Sox in ’86.

But the relief pitcher threw 4 pitches and ended Cuba’s 9th inning rally with a double play.

Now that was tense.

Congrats Korea!
